In 2008 the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana established the FDV Art Gallery, a Gallery for Social Questions and Answers. The public exhibition space serves as an interdisciplinary space for communication. The inaugural exhibition, titled Pluralism of Art Practices, featured the work of the postgraduate students of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design.

Programme

The gallery welcomes international projects as well as visualisations of student research, such as the exhibitions Brand Images, a visual journey through the advertising history of Fructal and Labello, and Josip Broz Tito. In 2014 the gallery presented an overview exhibition by Arne Hodalič, a renowned Slovenian photojournalist.

In 2018 Gallery presented the photo exhibition by Jasmine Vidmar entitled Women in Prison. Gallery arranges photography exhibitions accompanied with travel lectures or discussion tables. Gallery also arranges online exhibitions.
